This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website at https://spirit889.com, use the Spirit Radio app (on iPhone, iPad, Android, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto) or app.spirit889.com, or engage with our SMS messaging programs and station services.

## 1. Information We Collect
We collect information that identifies, relates to, or describes you (“Personal Information”) when you interact with Spirit Radio. You can listen to live radio and podcasts without creating an account or giving us any personal information.
### Information You Provide Directly
– **Account details:** If you create an account, your name, email address and password, or the name and email address shared by Apple or Google if you choose Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google (with Sign in with Apple you can choose to hide your email address). You can also add a profile photo.
– **Prayer requests:** Your name, email address, the text of your request and your sharing choices. You choose whether a request is shared on the public prayer wall and whether your name is shown or hidden. Prayer requests can reveal religious beliefs, health information or other sensitive details. Please share only what you are comfortable with our team reading.
– **Messages to the station (“Reach Out”):** Your name, email address and message, and any voice notes or photos you choose to send, such as song requests, shout-outs, questions and testimonies.
– **Event submissions:** The event details and image you submit, and your name and email address so we can let you know when your event is approved.
– **Donor and contribution information:** Payment details, donation amounts, billing addresses and transaction histories, submitted when you give to support our non-profit broadcast ministry. Giving happens on our website, outside the app, and payments are handled by our payment processor.
– **Communications and feedback:** Information you provide when you contact us, enter contests, request songs or take part in station surveys.
### Information Collected Automatically
– **Listening activity and preferences:** Songs you save from the on-air song history, the music app you choose for opening them, podcast episodes you have played, your place in each episode and your Up Next queue. If you are signed in, these are saved to your account so they sync across your devices. Downloaded episodes are stored only on your device.
– **Push notification identifiers:** If you allow notifications, a notification token for your device, along with the device platform (iOS or Android) and app version. If you are signed in, the token is linked to your account so we can send you personal notifications, such as when someone prays for your request.
– **Device and log data:** IP address, device type, operating system and browser type, collected in server logs when the app or website communicates with our servers and streaming providers. We also record the email address and IP address used to submit forms, to prevent spam and abuse.
– **Location:** The app does not collect your device’s precise location. General location (such as city or region) may be inferred from your IP address.
### Device Permissions
The app asks for permission before using these features of your device, and uses them only for the purpose shown:
– **Microphone:** only while you record a voice note to send to the station. The live radio pauses while you record.
– **Camera and photos:** only when you choose to take or attach a photo (for your profile, an event, a prayer request or a message).
– **Notifications:** to send you station announcements, new podcast episodes, prayer updates and event news.
You can change these permissions at any time in your device’s settings.
### What We Don’t Collect
We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking tools in the app. We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and we do not sell your information.
## 2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to operate and improve our broadcast and digital services, including:
– Streaming audio programming, podcasts and the app’s features, including CarPlay and Android Auto.
– Creating and maintaining your account and syncing your saved songs and podcast progress across devices.
– Reviewing prayer requests and event submissions, showing approved ones publicly, and letting you know when someone prays for your request or your event is approved.
– Responding to your messages, song requests and testimonies, including sharing them on air when you ask us to.
– Sending push notifications you have allowed.
– Processing tax-deductible donor contributions and providing receipt documentation.
– Sending station updates, ministry newsletters, event announcements and donor support opportunities.
– Responding to listener inquiries, support requests and contest entries.
– Preventing spam and abuse, analyzing app performance, and maintaining system security.
## 3. Mobile Text Messaging & SMS Consent Data Handling
We respect your communication preferences and handle mobile messaging data under strict privacy standards.
### Mandatory Non-Sharing Disclosure
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
### Text Messaging Practices
– **Opt-In Consent:** You will only receive text messages from Spirit Radio if you explicitly opt in (e.g., via web form, paper form, or text keyword). Mobile consent is always voluntary and is never a mandatory condition of using our app, site, or streaming services.
– **Opt-Out Requests:** You can cancel mobile text services at any time by replying STOP to any text message. Reply HELP for support.
– **Rates & Frequency:** Message frequency varies based on station campaigns. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan.
## 4. Information Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances.
### Information You Choose to Make Public
– **Prayer wall:** If you choose to share a prayer request publicly, its text, and your first name unless you choose to stay anonymous, appear on the prayer wall in the app and on our website after our team reviews it. Your email address is never shown publicly.
– **Events:** Approved events are listed publicly with the details you submitted.
– **On air:** If you ask for your message to be shared on air, we may read or play it on our broadcast.
### Service Providers
We use trusted service providers to run the app and our services. They may process your information only to provide their services to Spirit Radio:
– **Base44:** hosts our app, website, database and file storage, and sends our emails.
– **Apple Push Notification service and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging:** deliver push notifications to your device.
– **Microsoft Teams:** our staff review new prayer requests in a private Microsoft Teams channel.
– **Apple and Google sign-in:** if you choose to sign in with Apple or Google, those companies handle your sign-in under their own privacy policies.
– **Streaming and podcast hosts:** our live stream provider and our podcast host (Buzzsprout) deliver audio to your device and receive your IP address and device information, as with any internet audio stream.
– **Payment processors:** handle donations made on our website.
### Music Services
When you open a saved song, the app sends the song’s title and artist to the music service you choose (Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube Music or Amazon Music) so it can find the song. That service’s own privacy policy applies to what you do there.
### Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order or governmental regulation, or to protect the rights, property and safety of Spirit Radio, our listeners or the public.
## 5. Data Security & Retention
We implement administrative, technical and physical security safeguards designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration or disclosure. Information sent between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit.
We keep personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, or as required by applicable legal and financial compliance obligations:
– **Account information, saved songs, listening progress, prayer requests, messages and event submissions** are kept until you delete them or delete your account, or until our team removes them. Items our team deletes are permanently erased from our systems within 30 days.
– **Donation and ticket records** are kept as required for tax receipts, accounting and legal obligations, even if you delete your account.
– **Push notification tokens** are kept while the app is installed and notifications are allowed. They are removed when a device stops accepting notifications.
## 6. Your Privacy Rights & Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you have choices regarding your personal data:
– **Delete your account:** You can delete your account and your personal data in the app. Sign in, tap the account button at the top right, then **My dashboard**, scroll to the bottom and tap **Delete account**. This immediately deletes your account, your prayer requests, your messages and voice notes, your saved songs and podcast progress, and any events that have not yet been approved. Events that have already been published stay listed without your name, and donation records are kept as described above. If you cannot sign in, email info@spirit889.com from the address on your account with the subject “Delete my Spirit Radio account” and we will delete it within 30 days. – **Access and correction:** You can view and edit your profile, prayer requests, events and saved songs in **My dashboard**, or contact us at any time to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you.
– **Prayer wall:** You can choose to share a request privately, or publicly without your name.
– **Communications Opt-Out:** You may unsubscribe from marketing or station email lists at any time by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link in any email, or by replying STOP to any SMS message.
– **Push notifications:** You can turn notifications off at any time in your device’s settings. **My dashboard › Notifications** shows whether they’re on and how to change it.
– **App Permissions:** You can manage or revoke the app’s access to your microphone, camera, photos and notifications in your device’s settings.
## 7. Children’s Privacy
Spirit Radio’s digital services and mobile applications are directed toward a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal data without verified parental consent, we will take immediate steps to delete that information.
