Pam Tebow will speak at Tulare-Kings Right to Life’s 18th Annual
making a Difference for Life Fundraising Banquet on Thursday, September 5th, 7:00 p.m., at the Visalia Convention Center.
Had Pam Tebow had taken a doctor’s advice in 1986, she would have never had her son, Tim.
If the name Tebow rings familiar, her “Timmy” is the same boy who grew up to be the Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback and a first-round pick in the 2010 NFL draft by the Denver Broncos. He is probably best known for his outspoken Christian faith, both on and off the football field.
The Tebow family pioneered homeschooling and has an ongoing ministry
in the Philippines, but it was their youngest child of five, Tim, who made
Tebow a household name.
Pam Tebow became a national pro-life figure after her son won the Heisman Trophy following his sophomore football season with the Florida Gators. In an ESPN interview following the award, Tebow said her Christian faith had led her to ignore the advice of doctors, who feared a stillbirth and encouraged her to terminate her pregnancy.
In 2010, CBS aired a pro-life advertisement during Super Bowl XLIV, funded by Focus on the Family, that stirred controversy in the media coverage leading up to the biggest night in American television.
In addition to Tebow’s message, the fundraiser will allow Tulare-Kings Right to Life to update the community on its educational and healing work thru Latinos4Life, Voices for Life and The IRMA Network. Over the past year, TKRL has reached literally thousands of local residents with the truth about abortion, after-abortion issues, embryonic stem cell research, infanticide and euthanasia.
